Memories (grandma Ruby)

The Sadness of losing someone you love is something that leaves a emptiness inside. I lost a dear friend, who was a grandma to me. For 18 yrs. I've known her. I can remember when I first met her. I remember all the wonderful times I spent with her. Laughing, crying, sharing thoughts, and feelings of the day and the trips we went together. I can remember all of them like they were yesterday. A part of me will be empty and sad,but knowing she's with Jesus and Jack her husband, makes me feel better. I've been listening to a song called " Go rest high on the mountains" by Vince Gill. I love one of the verses in the song. Go to heaven a shoutin, and meet Jesus and his son! Wow, how incredible is that?! I know she wouldn't want us to be sad or to cry for her. Each day I hold onto the memories and the different times I spent with her. Those times I talked to her on the phone. I always could count on her to let me vent,or just say hello! I could tell her something and she would keep it to herself if I asked her. And the same vasa versa! I know she's in a much better place, and there's times I might not understand why she went before I was ready, but I do know she was ready to see Jesus and to be pain free. I can only imagine what her face expression was when she entered heaven and seen Jesus and those who passed on before her. I'm sure she's telling them all kinds of things and having a good time being free and alive! I can see her dancing and wondering what she is doing right now and how she is feeling. And I'm sure Christ told her, well done, my good and faithful servant! One day I will hear those words and see her face to face! I look forward to it. But in the mean time, I have her memories and pictures to match. Will miss her very much! Love u grandma!!! ❤❤❤ thanks all for reading! Have a blessed day. Don't forget Jesus loves you too!! And so do I! ❤❤

Something to ponder...

'To get something you never had, you have to do
something you never did.'   When God takes something from your grasp, He's
not punishing you, but merely opening your hands to receive something better.
Concentrate on this sentence... 'The will of God will never take you where
the Grace of God will not protect you.'

I thought this was a good quote. I had gotten this in a forward that someone had sent me and i liked this, so i thought i would share this with you all..

The last part it  says that if it's the will of God then whatever you do or wherever he takes you he will always protect you and watch over you. When God takes something away from you it's for a reason. Sometimes it's to teach us something he has been wanting to show us and was to busy to sit down and listen to him, or and it could be God wants to remove all obstacles that may hender you from doing something or going somewhere that he wants you to do or go. After all God knows whats best for you and he knows the feature!

Isn't funny how God works! I had typed this out 5yrs. Ago and yet it still today, speaks to me!! God is good! amen!! :-)

Being an aunt

For the past 12 years I've been an aunt! I have two nieces, ages 12 and 3! Very independent and times stubborn! But overall very good girls. Their are days that they can be "needy" and wanting more attention then one can give. Just a week ago, they were both here at the house. They wanted to do the same thing the other was doing. If one wanted to be on the iPad the other wanted to. If one decided to play a game and so on forth. Its kinda funny how times have changed. When I was a kid, I always loved being outside playing on my grandma's swings, her playhouse, and when she had a pool I loved that as well! I loved playing with my cousin which just lived down the street from me. We used to play teacher and principal! Lol! Loved being both! When it rained we stayed inside and played with the toys she's had forever and have coloring contest! Sometimes we played on our bikes and play cops and robbers! Lol! And we would play baseball even though it was just the two of us! I miss those days of carefree, and enjoying the outdoors. Kids today don't seem to spend time outside, or doing anything that would help them grow. There are many memories that still wished I could do with them today or have them do. Each time they come over I try to share a memory with them or make memories with them! What memories do you have? With grandparents? Or as a kid. Please share! Thanks

Memories

It's amazing how far back you remember things. Things that made an impact on you and choices that were made or thoughts that you remember. Events in your life that you can recall without thinking about it or having to strain to remember. Seven years ago today my grandma Hall (stone) passed away to be with The Lord. It's times like these that you cherish those memories and you talk about them to help with the healing process. I know what day it was on, what I was doing, who I was with at the time and details of each thought and action of that day. I know grandma wouldn't want us to sit around and cry and mourn because she is in a much better place than we could even imagine! She would want us to live our lives to the fullest and remember for who she was and what she meant to each one of us. I know a couple of months ago my grandfather passed away and it's still a little rough but I have accepted the fact that he is too with God and that it's the best. I also recall many memories of him as well. Things that no one else could say or say they did with him. That makes it special and to think that I'm soo glad I got to spend almost a year with him it's amazing and great! I pray that each one of us cherish the time we have with our loved ones and we make memories with them as well! Take Care and God bless you all.

A journey

Everyday consist of something new or maybe something unexpected. Sometimes it's a good thing and sometimes it can be scary at times. There days that you wonder how can I start over because I want to go back and do it all over again. There are times in everyone's life that you look back and say wow,I'm so glad that that happened or there Are times that you look back and think what was I thinking or why didn't I think?! Well, I know everything happens for A reason. Whether we know it or not at the time it does. I know there are times that I'm like okay, we'll I'm glad that took place or I'm glad that I met this person or so on. It's been a rough two years and I'm here to say that it's been and interesting yet rewarding year. The last two years haven't started off so great. It's becoming a pattern which is quite odd and weird. I do know that everything that has happen whether good or bad it's help me grow and become a stronger, and better person. I know that if I can't do it, God can and helped me. I know there are people who have been in my life well forever it seems and they have passed on. I will always cherish the memories I had with them and will forever be great full that I do have them. Then there are those who maybe it was just for a season only that they came into my life and then decided to move on and go their separate ways. Which I sometimes understand and times I don't. But I know God has blessed me with a few new ones that I'm forever great full and blessed! I know that God will continue to strengthen me and help me to keep focusing on Him and not on anything else. May God bless You!
